This 4N/5D Bhutan journey covers the highlights of Thimphu and Paro, beginning with arrival at Paro Airport and a scenic transfer to Thimphu via Chuzom. Day 1: Arrival at Paro • Transfer to Thimphu
After completion of immigration formalities at Paro Airport, meet the Bhutanese guide and proceed towards Thimphu. En route, stop at Chuzom, the confluence of the Thimphu and Paro rivers, where three stupas represent Bhutanese, Tibetan and Nepalese architectural styles. Continue to Thimphu and check in at the hotel. The evening is free for leisure and relaxation. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing • Cultural Highlights
After breakfast, explore Thimphu's major attractions. Visit Kuensel Phodrang and the Buddha Dordenma Statue, followed by the National Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum, Changangkha Lhakhang and Motithang Takin Reserve. In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong, the Fortress of the Glorious Religion, which houses important government and religious institutions. Return to the hotel after sightseeing. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimphu to Paro • Heritage Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed towards Paro. En route, visit Tamchog Lhakhang, a historic temple located between Thimphu and Paro. Continue to Paro and explore Ta Dzong, the former watchtower now functioning as the National Museum, followed by Paro Rimpung Dzong and the traditional Nemi Zam Bridge. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest and most sacred temples, before checking in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 4: Tiger's Nest • Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for the excursion to Taktsang Monastery, popularly known as Tiger's Nest, located at an altitude of approximately 3,100 metres in the Upper Paro Valley. The hike takes around 5–6 hours and includes steep sections and stairs. The excursion is physically demanding and is not recommended for small children and elderly travellers. Return to Paro after the visit. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 5: Paro • Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Paro Airport for your onward journey. The programme concludes with departure from Bhutan.
